The UK airline will offer free fast onboard connectivity through satellite partnership

Travelers aboard the airline can soon enjoy high-speed internet onboard without charge following a major agreement from the billionaire's satellite provider.

No-cost and Fast Wifi Across the Board

British Airways stated that this complimentary, “quick and reliable” internet offering via SpaceX will be available for passengers flying economy, premium economy, or premium cabins from soon.

Broad Rollout Across Multiple Carriers

The parent company for the airline, IAG, confirmed it had reached an agreement involving Starlink for providing internet services across over 500 jets across the group's operators, which also include Aer Lingus, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.

Uninterrupted Connectivity from Boarding to Landing

The airline noted that this implementation for this service was included in a £7bn “upgrade” program and will offer lag-free connectivity coverage for flyers starting at boarding through arrival, also when in flight over seas or isolated areas.

Customers may link multiple gadgets and they will not require a separate login.

Present Connectivity Services

Basic wifi service remains offered for BA travelers across the majority of its aircraft through their .air system.
